How to add lubricating oil to a motor without oil on its own
When the motor is short of oil, it is necessary to add lubricating oil by oneself according to the specific type and location of operation, determine the oiling location, pay attention to cleaning and lubrication, oiling skills, pay attention to oil quantity control, tools and hygiene, inspection and maintenance.
How to add lubricating oil to a motor without oil on its own
When the motor is short of oil, adding lubricating oil by oneself should be operated according to the specific type and location. The following are the general steps and precautions:
1、 Operation steps
Determine the refueling location
Electric fan: It is necessary to remove the back cover, clean the dust at the shaft and bearing, and then drip lubricating oil into the central shaft roller.
Other motors: It is necessary to open the end cover or bearing cover, find the oil level marking line, and slowly inject lubricating oil to half of the marking line.
Cleaning and lubrication
Use a small brush or cloth to remove dust and dirt from bearings, shafts, and other parts to ensure lubrication effectiveness.
Lubricant selection: Prioritize using sewing machine specific oil or molybdenum disulfide grease, and avoid using water-based oils containing impurities.
Oil injection technique
Slowly and evenly inject to avoid splashing or bubbles caused by excessive speed.
You can use an oil gun or dropper to assist and ensure accurate oil levels.
2、 Precautions
Oil quantity control
Electric fan: usually 5-10ml is sufficient to avoid excessive heating.
Large motors: need to be controlled according to the oil level marking line, usually 1/3-1/2 of the oil chamber.
Tools and Hygiene
Use clean tools (such as toothpicks, cloths) to avoid introducing impurities.
Lubricating oil needs to be sealed and stored to prevent contamination.
Inspection and maintenance
After refueling, restart the motor and observe its operating status to ensure there are no abnormal noises or lagging.
Regularly check the lubrication condition, and it is recommended to maintain it every 3-6 months.
3、 Special case handling
If the motor cannot be disassembled or the bearing is damaged, it is necessary to contact professional maintenance personnel for handling.
After adding lubricating oil by oneself, the noise or malfunction still cannot be resolved, which may involve bearing wear and require further maintenance.
