What is synchronous motor and asynchronous motor?

Electric motors are a general term for electric motors and generators, usually divided into two categories: DC motors and AC motors. AC motors are divided into asynchronous motors and synchronous motors.

What is a synchronous motor?

A type of AC motor with reversibility, where the rotor speed is the same as the rotating magnetic field speed. It can operate as a generator, an electric motor, or a compensation.

What is an asynchronous motor?

Asynchronous motor is a mechanical device that achieves energy conversion based on the interdependence and interaction between electricity and magnetism. Its stator and rotor are independent of each other in the circuit, but they are interconnected through electromagnetic induction. The rotor speed is always lower than the speed of the rotating magnetic field, that is, there is a slip rate, so it is called an asynchronous motor.

What is a winding?

Answer: The armature winding is the core part of a DC motor and is a coil made of copper enameled wire. When the armature winding rotates in the magnetic field of the motor, it generates electromotive force.

What is a magnetic field?

Answer: The force field that occurs around a permanent magnet or current, and the range of space or magnetic force that can be reached by any magnetic force.
